Eine intermittierend auftretende cholestatische Lebererkrankung kann einen angeborenen Defekt im Bereich der Gallensaurentransportproteine offenlegen. Die Episoden konnen durch eine Schwangerschaft oder die Einnahme oraler Kontrazeptiva oder anderer Medikamente ausgelost werden. Wir beschreiben den Fall einer 22-jahrigen Mutter, bei der zwei Wochen nach Beginn der hormonalen Kontrazeption ein zunehmender Ikterus und schwerer Juckreiz auftrat. Bereits einige Monate zuvor hatte sie an Juckreiz im Rahmen einer intrahepatischen Schwangerschaftscholestase gelitten. Die Leberbiopsie zeigte eine Cholestase in unauffalligem Lebergewebe. PURPOSE OF REVIEW The aim of this review was to define the implication of hepatitis C virus (HCV) eradication in patients with cirrhosis. RECENT FINDINGS Sustained virologic response (SVR) is associated with a favourable outcome in patients with cirrhosis especially in the presence of regression of cirrhosis but also with extrahepatic outcomes regarding health-related quality of life, risk of diabetes, risk of cardiovascular diseases and control of HIV replication by antiretroviral therapy.
